JBAF ( Jerry Brown Art Festival) : Mach 3 and 4

 

In honor of Hamilton resident and Smithsonian potter, Jerry Brown, The Jerry Brown Arts pageant is named. Jerry Brown (a 19th generation potter) was awarded the National Heritage Fellowship  in 1992 and also the Alabama Heritage Award from the Alabama State Council in 2003 on the humanities. Jerry Brown Pottery is that the solely known mule-powered pug mill still operating within the U.  S. Ninth-generation potter Jerry Brown and his mule, Blue, combine and grind the clay used to form his distinctive and one-of-a-kind items of pottery.

JBAF is an internal, juried arts pageant. The 2012 Jerry Brown Arts pageant marks the tenth anniversary for this indoor, juried arts pageant. Host of the JBAF(Jerry Brown Arts Festival) is that the Northwest Alabama Arts Council. JBAF was located at- Marion County Airport, 465 Airport Road, Hamilton, Alabama. The Jerry Brown Arts pageant was a family-friendly event with no alcohol served and everybody was welcome to attend.
concerning fifty nine artists are participated during this pageant in several classes like Pottery, Jewelry & Fabric Art, Wood, Wood & birdhouses, Wood Carving & Turning, Glass, Fused Glass, Quick- Sketch Drawings, Painting, Oil Painting, Clay, Acrylic Paintings, Native American Art, Painting- Canvas & Stone, Metal Sculpture, Mixed Media-Pasta Art, Hammered Copper; Candlesticks, Handwoven Baskets, Photography, Folk Painting etc. Artists from throughout the Southeastern u.  s. participate during this two-day pageant celebrating the festival's theme, Reflections of the South.
A yearly-event started ten years ago. currently it's grown to incorporate vendors and artists from all areas to show their abilities and wares.
